I can't say enough good things about Dr. Yuen's classes, and this one is no exception. IT 569 is a great class for the beginner or the experienced. In this class we learned many web 2.0 tools to help in the classroom, professional and personal use. However, the tools are not the only thing we learned. Dr. Yuen also provided us with a foundation in using multimedia with the book Multimedia concepts, enhanced edition: Illustrated introductory. It is a great resource to learn and understand what multimedia entails.
Dr. Yuen's teaching style is spot on for me! He begins every assignment from the beginning and go through all the steps. This helps me hit the ground running when I begin to work on my assignment. Every assignment seems to flow right along to the next one. Some of my favorites were Photo Story, Animoto and Movie Maker.
We used Picnik to edit photos, and this is one of my favorite tools. I was familiar with many of the tools we used in class, but the more you use something the better you get at it, right? I think so! :) Picnik is so easy to use. I love the fact that I can use it from anywhere and any computer. As long as you have the photos you want to edit uploaded to the site, you can change computers as many times as you like without having to transfer a thing!
Animoto is so cool, and this might win my favorite! The quality is professional...but you do have to spring for a membership. However, if you were planning on using this more than once, I would suggest it! One of my favorite parts about it is that you can choose from music available right there on the site. If you don't have a particular song in mind, this is the perfect option.
My least favorite assignment was Pixorial. It was very easy to use, but it was just too basic. If the project was already edited and completed, it might not be a bad avenue to use, but otherwise I would just stick to something else.
Having a blogfolio is a great resource for me. Sometimes, I'll forget a site or something I've done, and I can come to my blogfolio to refresh myself. The opportunities are endless with web 2.0 tools, and Dr. Yuen teaches about exploring these tools often. Because of his classes, I search for tools to use and ways to incorporate them in what I'm doing educationally, professionally and personally.
I particularly enjoyed this class this semester. One of my favorite things about these types of classes is that you learn from one another. I learned something from watching and listening to all the completed assignments.
Thanks everyone for a great class and semester! Bring on Summer! :)

I couldn't agree more -- the Web 2.0 tools were wonderful and have so much potential. I've spent countless hours editing photos on Picnik and just made another video using Animoto. Pixorioal... oh Pixorial, I would also agree that it was not my favorite. It's great for simple projects, but everything else seemed so much more, well, cooler. Thank you for suggesting I take this course!
