I have used Audacity for the past 3-4 years. It is such a terrific program. Again, the biggest plus is that it is FREE! But don't let that fool you! Audacity can do so many things, and any user can navigate it. Tutorials can help show the more complex tools or they can give you the basics for everyday use. I have used it many times for work purposes, and the radio station uses it everyday for producing spots. It is easy to train the student workers and employees on, and saves big bucks at the same time!
For my project, I recorded a fundraising script for WUSM public radio's fund drive. I used three different songs that would be a fun addition when asking people for their hard earned money! :) Normally, I would not use copyrighted music, but since this is for a radio station the copyright will not apply with the same standards as a site like YouTube would.

This was a nice use of Audacity. It is a program I hope to master as well in the very near future. Any tips?
ReplyDeleteYou did a nice job with this project. I have to ask the same thing as Sonia, any tips? I had a hard time with this program, but maybe practice will help.
ReplyDeletePractice, practice, practice is my best advise from audacity. Also, I watch tutorials. I try not to overload my brain with too many feature at once, so I try at least one or two new things every time I use Audacity. This really helps things "stick" for me and not be too overwhelming. Stick with it, and each time will get easier! :)
